To be eligible, people must finish three of these five extreme 100s:

H.U.R.T. - heat, mud, roots, temperature
Susitna - cold temperatures, ice/snow, exposure, self sufficiency
Hardrock - elevation gain/loss, altitude, exposure, difficulty
Leadville - altitude, change of weather
UTMB - culture (running in France, Italy, and Switzerland), difficulty, expense

within one year. People who finish are listed here as Extreme Triple Crowners. This is an informal series (i.e. no application, no award) which was thought up by Jamshid Khajavi and Hans-Dieter Weisshaar on 1/28/08.
