Starts and finishes in Cool, CA. Most popular 50K trail run in the U.S. Scenic course along the Middle Fork of the American River Canyon using past and present sections of the Western States 100 course. 97% dirt trails and roads. Ideal course for the first-time ultrarunner.
The 2008 Way Too Cool entries will open at the active.com (www.active.com) website on Sunday, December 9th, at 8 a.m. Pacific Time. There will also be a link to active.com at the bottom of the WTC website at http://www.Run100s.com/wtc.htm. The event fills rapidly so mark your calendar now and be ready to go at 8 a.m. Pacific Time. There are no hardcopy entries for this event. Pre-entry only. Limited to 450 total. Filled in less than eight minutes in 2007! A PA/USATF Ultra Grand Prix event.

THE AMERICAN RIVER 50
APRIL 5, 2008 (SATURDAY) - 6 A.M. - SACRAMENTO TO AUBURN, CA
Starts in Sacramento and follows paved bike trail along the American River Parkway for first 24 miles. Last 26 miles follow the N. Fork of the American River from Folsom Lake to the finish line in Auburn, CA using fire roads and single-track horse trails. 1,000 feet of climb in last three miles. Time limit: 13 hours. 29th annual. Quality finisher's garment. Pre-race banquet and trail briefing. Ideal Western States 100 qualifier and first-time 50-miler.

JUNE 28, 2008 (SATURDAY) - 5 A.M. - SQUAW VALLEY, CA
The first 100-mile trail-run in the World. Run along the beautiful trails of the High Sierra, pass through deep forests and canyons, and over high mountain passes. Run through the old mining communities of Last Chance, Devil's Thumb, and Michigan Bluff. 30-hour time limit. 35th annual. $295. Entries are limited and determined by lottery. Applications for 2008 are available now. Entries close November 8, 2007.
