The finish area at Rodeo Lagoon is an exquisite location adjacent to the beach. There are public toilets and free COLD water showers available. We suggest you bring soap (and Tecnu if you react to poison oak), a towel and some warm sweats to change into after you finish. It can be cool and windy at this location, with the beach and the ocean nearby. Gloves are also a good idea if you plan to stay for a while and cheer everyone in, which we hope you will. (If it’s a hot Marin day, don’t forget your sunscreen.) There will be a large tent set up to provide some shelter, with tables and chairs.
Please join us for the traditional Miwok post-race BBQ. There will be a variety of meats (chicken, hamburgers and sausages) as well as veggie burgers and vegan soup. We’ll be serving plenty of garlic bread and a tossed green salad. An assortment of desserts and soft drinks will be available. If your crew, pacer or family would like to partake in the BBQ, please make a donation of $5/person to cover expenses.
